"Crack"

Warning: If you are offended by "bad" language, this is not the post for you.

That sound you just heard was the fucking camel's back breaking. I seriously cannot wait to leave this fucking city (New York for those who are new here).

Look at this lovely poll:

NYer's want Mayor Bloomberg to run for third-term

Seriously? Seriously people? WTF is wrong with people?

Let's go back in history a bit... Picture it: November, 2001, New York City...Mike Bloomberg has just won the NYC Mayoral Election...but wait! New York City is feeling very uneasy because we've just had two huge skyscrapers demolished by madmen. New York City (not everyone but a large percentage) is feeling like they want Mayor Giuliani to stick around for another term - or at the very least a few extra months. So what do you say, Mike Bloomberg? Good idea, right? Let's give Giuliani a chance to finish helping the City as it goes through such tough times, right? Ummmm, NO!! Mike Bloomberg says! "That is ridiculous. The City will survive without Giuliani, no matter how tough times are. If we change the way we do things, the terrorists win...blah, blah, blah." Does anyone else remember this or am I dreaming? Well I must be, because yesterday, Mayor Bloomberg had this to say:

"Given the events of recent weeks and given the enormous challenges we face, I don't want to walk away from a city I feel I can help lead through these tough times," Bloomberg said.

And here's where my head explodes:

Bloomberg said he still believes in term limits, and New Yorkers should vote whether the limits should be two terms or three - sometime after he runs again.

......

Bloomberg had for years defended the two-term limit, saying it would be "disgraceful" for the Council to overturn it.

But in the meantime apparently, he's going to cut a deal with the City Council to make an end-run around us (the voters).

So, once again, a politician knows better than us so they're going to take care of things and we don't have to worry our pretty little heads about it at all.

And does this arrogance and blatant hypocracy piss New Yorkers off? Not at all - the fucking dumbasses are all for it:

New Yorkers favor extending term limits so he can run again 54% to 42%, according to a Quinnipiac University poll.

I won't even go into all of the reasons I already thought Mike Bloomberg was an arrogant, shitty asshole of a Mayor. Because for me, this one simple act - deciding he and his political cronies will cut a deal to completely disregard the NYC citizens who TWICE voted FOR a two-term limit, because they know better than we do - that's all I fucking need to hear. I will ACTIVELY campaign for ANYONE who runs against Mike Bloomberg this election. ANYONE!! (And I guarantee that's gonna cause some waves in my household.)

I was already fed up with so many things about New York and I keep saying it's time to move but it's hard to change - after being a lifetime New Yorker. Well, I think I've finally found the limit to my tolerance for New York's bullshit.
